Sustainable Investing

As an institutional money manager, TD Asset Management takes a long-term perspective in our duty to act in the best interests of our clients. In this fiduciary role, we believe that ESG issues should be taken into deliberation and where possible and appropriate, integrate these factors as part of our investment decision-making process. The goal is still to seek better risk-adjusted returns for clients in a manner that is consistent with our fiduciary obligations and clients' evolving investment and corporate objectives.

Achievements in support of these objectives include:

• Implementation of a Sustainable Investing Policy for both the U.S. and Canadian operations.
• Becoming a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment. 
• Becoming a signatory to the Carbon Disclosure Project.
• Becoming a signatory to the CDP Water Disclosure.
• Providing disclosure on our Proxy Practices TDAM USA.
